BCA vs B.Tech for JEE Advanced — which degree?

What each degree actually is

BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) is a three-year undergraduate degree focused on computer applications and software, with lighter mathematics requirements. B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) is a four-year AICTE-approved engineering degree with mandatory mathematics, physics, lab work, and a final-year capstone. The accreditation difference matters for some employers and for postgraduate routes like M.Tech and GATE.

How VSET teaches JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced is the second-stage national entrance examination used for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology, taken by candidates who qualify through JEE Main. VSET admission does not use JEE Advanced; it runs on JEE Main Paper-1 and GGSIPU counselling. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
