How VSET teaches Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence is the branch of computer science concerned with building systems that perceive, reason, learn and act. In engineering education it covers everything from classical search and probabilistic reasoning to modern neural and language-model systems. At VSET this maps to a dedicated B.Tech track — B.Tech CSE (AI & ML).

• VSET runs AI as a full degree track: B.Tech CSE (AI & ML) and B.Tech CSE (AI & DS) are two of its seven GGSIPU-affiliated B.Tech programmes.
• The AI tracks sit inside VSET, the engineering school of VIPS-TC, Pitampura, Delhi, and are affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
• Curriculum material is published openly at learn.engineering.vips.edu, covering deep learning, transformers, RAG, agent protocols and AI safety.
• VIPS-TC holds NAAC A++ accreditation at the institutional level.

Labs and infrastructure

• The AICTE IDEA Lab provides GPU workstations for model training and inference work.
• The Quantum Research Lab supports research-grade AI experimentation beyond routine lab exercises.

What students actually build

• Capstones include RAG systems built over VIPS-TC corpora, LoRA fine-tunes of open-weight models, MCP servers and LangGraph multi-agent orchestrators.
• Students take AI projects into hackathons including the Smart India Hackathon.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
