How VSET teaches Coding After 12th

This is guidance for students finishing Class 12 who want a coding-centred career and are deciding what to study. At VSET the direct route is B.Tech CSE or one of its four specialisations, entered through JEE Main Paper-1 and GGSIPU counselling. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE.

• Programming is taught from the start of the B.Tech CSE curriculum, so prior coding experience is not required.
• VSET offers seven GGSIPU-affiliated B.Tech programmes, five of which are in the CSE family.
• Admission is through JEE Main Paper-1 followed by GGSIPU counselling, with roughly 10% of seats through the VIPS-TC management quota.
• VSET is the engineering school of VIPS-TC, Pitampura, Delhi, which holds NAAC A++ accreditation at the institutional level.

Labs and infrastructure

• The AICTE IDEA Lab with GPU workstations, embedded hardware and 3D printing is open to students from early in the degree.
• A Quantum Research Lab is available on campus.

What students actually build

• Students build projects through the degree and can enter hackathons including Smart India Hackathon.
• Early project work is the fastest way to convert first-year coursework into real coding ability.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
