How VSET teaches JEE Main Paper-1

JEE Main Paper-1 is the national engineering entrance examination for B.Tech and B.E. admission in India, covering Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is the required entrance route for admission to all seven B.Tech programmes at VSET. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE.

• Admission to every VSET B.Tech programme runs through JEE Main Paper-1 followed by GGSIPU counselling.
• Eligibility also requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at a minimum 50% aggregate.
• Roughly 10% of seats are filled through the VIPS-TC management quota.
• Paper-1 is the engineering paper; Paper-2 covers architecture and planning and is not used for VSET admission.
• Exam dates, session structure and eligibility rules are set by the national testing body each year, so applicants should follow the official current-year information bulletin.

Labs and infrastructure

• Students admitted through this route get access to the AICTE IDEA Lab and the Quantum Research Lab on campus.

What students actually build

• Once enrolled, students build capstone projects and enter hackathons including Smart India Hackathon.
• The entrance rank does not determine project or placement outcomes, which depend on work done during the degree.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
