How VSET teaches Data Science

Data science is the practice of turning raw data into decisions using statistics, programming and machine learning. It spans collecting and cleaning data, exploring it, modelling it, and communicating what the results mean. At VSET this maps to a dedicated B.Tech track — B.Tech CSE (AI & DS).

• VSET runs a dedicated B.Tech in CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science) affiliated to GGSIPU, so data science is a full four-year degree track rather than a single elective.
• The AI & DS track is oriented towards data pipelines, ETL, analytics and applied statistics, while the separate AI & ML track leans towards model training, LLMs and agents.
• Students who want deeper statistical and algorithmic foundations can look at the CSE (Applied Mathematics) programme, which VSET also offers under GGSIPU.
• VSET offers seven GGSIPU-affiliated B.Tech programmes in total, so students choose the data track deliberately at admission rather than drifting into it.
