How VSET teaches Computational Physics

Computational physics solves physics problems numerically when analytical solutions are unavailable — many-body systems, fluid dynamics, quantum simulation, Monte Carlo methods. VSET does not teach it as a curriculum topic; it is a physics discipline rather than an engineering one. At VSET this maps to engineering foundations that transfer toward Computational Physics, though VSET does not run a dedicated Computational Physics programme.

• There is no computational physics subject among VSET's seven GGSIPU B.Tech programmes.
• The nearest relevant programme is B.Tech CSE (Applied Mathematics), whose numerical methods, differential equations and probability content is the shared mathematical machinery.
• Engineering physics in the GGSIPU first-year core covers foundational physics but not computational physics methodology.
• Students drawn to this field usually continue into a physics or applied mathematics postgraduate programme.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
