How VSET teaches Ethical Hacking

Ethical hacking is the practice of testing systems for weaknesses with the owner's explicit written authorisation, so that defects can be fixed before attackers find them. It is a disciplined, consent-based engineering activity, not unauthorised intrusion. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security).

• Authorised security assessment is taught inside VSET's four-year B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security) track, not as a standalone short course.
• Students first learn operating systems, computer networks and cryptography before working on assessment methodology.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
