Security operations is the continuous practice of monitoring, detecting and responding to security events across an organisation's systems. It is the day-to-day defensive function that turns tooling into protection. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security).

• Monitoring and detection concepts are available as elective-level content within VSET's B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security) track.
• Prerequisites — networks, operating systems and logging fundamentals — come from the GGSIPU CSE core.
• The subject is framed entirely defensively: detect, triage, escalate and contain.
• It connects to incident response, which is covered as coursework in the same track.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
