How VSET teaches State Engineering Entrance Exams

Several Indian states conduct their own engineering entrance examinations for admission to institutions within that state, alongside or instead of JEE Main. VSET does not use any state entrance test; its admission runs on JEE Main Paper-1 through GGSIPU counselling. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE.

• Delhi-region admission for GGSIPU-affiliated institutions is therefore based on JEE Main Paper-1 ranks.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
