How VSET teaches Threat Intelligence

Threat intelligence is the collection, analysis and dissemination of information about adversaries, their techniques and their infrastructure, so that defenders can prioritise controls. It converts raw data into decisions. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security).

• Threat intelligence concepts are available at elective depth within VSET's B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security) track.
• It builds on the malware analysis and security operations content taught in the same programme.
• The emphasis is analytical: structuring, correlating and communicating findings.
• Data handling skills carry over from the CSE core and VSET's parallel AI and data science tracks.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
