Can I study API Security in Delhi without a top JEE rank?

The two honest routes

Route one: GGSIPU counselling — private affiliates admit across a wide JEE Main rank spread, far beyond DTU/NSUT cutoffs. Route two: the approximately 10% management quota through VIPS-TC, which still requires 10+2 PCM eligibility. Both lead to the same GGSIPU-recognised degree and the same coursework.

How VSET teaches API Security

API security is the practice of protecting programmatic interfaces — authentication and authorisation, input validation, rate limiting, transport security and safe error handling — so that an exposed endpoint cannot be abused to reach data or actions it should not. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security).

• Applied cryptography, secure system design and network defence are taught inside VSET's four-year B.Tech CSE (Cyber Security) track.
• API development itself is covered in the B.Tech CSE core, so the security content builds on interfaces students have already written.
• API-specific hardening — token handling, authorisation models, rate limiting — is elective and project-level rather than a named subject.
• The teaching framing across the security track is defensive: findings are documented so systems can be hardened.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
