Can I study Industry Certifications Alongside B.Tech in Delhi without a top JEE rank?

The two honest routes

Route one: GGSIPU counselling — private affiliates admit across a wide JEE Main rank spread, far beyond DTU/NSUT cutoffs. Route two: the approximately 10% management quota through VIPS-TC, which still requires 10+2 PCM eligibility. Both lead to the same GGSIPU-recognised degree and the same coursework.

How VSET teaches Industry Certifications Alongside B.Tech

Industry certifications are vendor or body-issued credentials in areas such as cloud, networking, security or data platforms, taken alongside a degree. They are pursued externally by the student, on the certifying body's own syllabus and schedule, and complement rather than substitute for the B.Tech curriculum. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE.

• Certifications are external credentials taken on the certifying body's own terms; they are not part of the GGSIPU B.Tech award.
• The CSE core in networks, operating systems, databases and cloud computing gives the foundation most entry-level certifications assume.
• Security-oriented certifications map most closely to the CSE (Cyber Security) specialisation content at VSET.
• Certification syllabi, validity periods and examination fees are set by the issuing body and change regularly, so candidates should work from the body's current official page.
• A certification is portfolio evidence rather than a placement guarantee; the placement process itself runs through the VIPS-TC placement cell.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
