Can I study Simulation and Modelling in Delhi without a top JEE rank?

The two honest routes

Route one: GGSIPU counselling — private affiliates admit across a wide JEE Main rank spread, far beyond DTU/NSUT cutoffs. Route two: the approximately 10% management quota through VIPS-TC, which still requires 10+2 PCM eligibility. Both lead to the same GGSIPU-recognised degree and the same coursework.

How VSET teaches Simulation and Modelling

Simulation and modelling is the construction of mathematical or computational representations of real systems, then running them to study behaviour that is too expensive, slow or risky to observe directly — queues, traffic, physical processes, epidemics, markets. At VSET this maps to elective-level coverage inside B.Tech CSE (Applied Mathematics).

• Mathematics subjects — calculus, differential equations, probability and statistics, numerical methods — are core in the GGSIPU B.Tech scheme and strongest in VSET's B.Tech CSE (Applied Mathematics) specialisation.
• Simulation as a named subject is elective and project territory rather than a four-year track.
• Probability and statistics coursework supplies the stochastic modelling foundation for discrete-event simulation.
• Programming coursework in Python and other languages gives students the implementation vehicle for models.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
