Can I study Student Clubs and Societies in Delhi without a top JEE rank?

The two honest routes

Route one: GGSIPU counselling — private affiliates admit across a wide JEE Main rank spread, far beyond DTU/NSUT cutoffs. Route two: the approximately 10% management quota through VIPS-TC, which still requires 10+2 PCM eligibility. Both lead to the same GGSIPU-recognised degree and the same coursework.

How VSET teaches Student Clubs and Societies

Student clubs and societies are the organised extracurricular structures through which students run technical, cultural and competitive activity outside the timetable. At VSET this sits alongside the GGSIPU curriculum and feeds directly into hackathon and project participation. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE.

• Club and society activity at VSET runs under the wider VIPS-TC student life structure in Pitampura, Delhi.
• Technical activity is closely tied to hackathon participation, including Smart India Hackathon, rather than existing separately from it.
• Because seven B.Tech programmes share a campus, societies commonly draw members across CSE, its specialisations, VLSI and IIoT.
• Society participation is voluntary and does not carry GGSIPU credit; its value is in project experience and team practice.
• The list of active societies changes each academic year, so incoming students should check the current position with the VSET student affairs office.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
