Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

The four signals worth checking

One: is Document AI a dedicated track or an elective inside a general degree? Two: is there a funded lab supporting it, with real equipment access? Three: do faculty actively work in the area? Four: what does the college's own current-year placement release say for that specific programme — not what an aggregator says. These four separate genuine depth from a brochure keyword.

How VSET teaches Document AI

Document AI extracts structure and meaning from unstructured documents — parsing, layout understanding, entity extraction, classification and question answering over PDFs and scans. It combines OCR-style vision with language modelling. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE (AI & ML).

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
