How VSET teaches Industrial IoT

Industrial IoT applies connected sensing and computing to industrial environments — factories, utilities, logistics and infrastructure — where reliability, latency and safety requirements are stricter than in consumer IoT. It is the technical backbone of Industry 4.0. At VSET this maps to a dedicated B.Tech track — B.Tech Industrial Internet of Things.

• B.Tech Industrial Internet of Things is a dedicated four-year track at VSET, affiliated to GGSIPU, and one of the school's seven B.Tech programmes.
• It is a dedicated embedded and hardware track rather than an IoT elective bolted onto a CSE degree.
• The industrial framing means sensing, control and reliable data acquisition are central to the syllabus.
• Students work with real sensors and embedded hardware throughout the programme.

Private affiliates vs university-run institutes

GGSIPU has two categories of institutions: university-run constituents (USICT Dwarka, USAR East Delhi Campus) and private affiliated colleges. USICT carries the strongest overall GGSIPU brand, but it is a different category with different fee structures and admission dynamics. Comparing private affiliates against each other is the like-for-like comparison for most applicants.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
