Can I study Smart India Hackathon in Delhi without a top JEE rank?

The two honest routes

Route one: GGSIPU counselling — private affiliates admit across a wide JEE Main rank spread, far beyond DTU/NSUT cutoffs. Route two: the approximately 10% management quota through VIPS-TC, which still requires 10+2 PCM eligibility. Both lead to the same GGSIPU-recognised degree and the same coursework.

How VSET teaches Smart India Hackathon

Smart India Hackathon is a national problem-statement-based competition in which student teams build working solutions for government and industry challenges. VSET students take part in it, and it is the most established competitive project activity on campus. At VSET this maps to documented coursework depth inside B.Tech CSE.

• VSET students participate in Smart India Hackathon as part of established student activity.
• Entries require teams to scope, build and demonstrate working software or hardware against a published problem statement under time pressure.
• Teams apply the GGSIPU B.Tech core in programming, data structures, databases and networks directly to the problem statement.
• Participation is cross-branch in practice, since all seven VSET programmes share the same campus, labs and student structures.
• Problem statements, themes and the participation timeline are set nationally each year, so teams work from the current-year official announcement.

How admission works

Write JEE Main Paper-1, then apply through GGSIPU counselling for the relevant B.Tech programme at VSET. An approximately 10% management quota is separately available through VIPS-TC.
